To construct five bridges

Laura was in the village in early March to finalize the construction plans for the kindergarten and the elementary school. While there, the residents reported two very serious accidents over the broken bridges. One man broke his spine early in the year. The week before her arrival the assistant principal of the elementary school to be rebuilt by the children fund broke his jaw. Both had crossed these bridges with their motorcycles. This means of transportation has become more common in the village as it's much faster than going by ferry or motorized sampan. An average journey inside the village involves crossing a wooden bridge every five minutes. Young men often do not have the patience to get off the motorcycle and walk with it across the bridge. As a consequence, there has been numerous accidents.

After a meeting with all those concerned, the Children Fund decided to rebuild five broken bridges in Hamlet 5. These bridges are smaller than many others and each already has supporting poles underneath, made of concrete. The cost of each new bridge is less than $1000. The new bridges will be ready by August.
